Why Yvonne’s Check Point keeps getting better and better

 Yvonne Okwara is one woman on a mission. That mission is very simple: to get the right information out there and to make sure that politicians are not lying to us in any way.

This is why she set up a segment on her show named Fact Check. At the beginning I thought it was just going to be those boring segments where you do not even know what is going on most of the time. Or just one of those segments where you do not even feel the impact or shape the way you view politicians as they give us their facts.

There is a reason she has been able to grow this segment into something big. The full reason is that she has been able to make it diverse and not focus just on the things that are being said by politicians. Not just looking at the things that they highlight but by also making sure they have taken a topic.

Partnership with Africa Check a good thing for research

The partnership seems to have brought in a lot of change in the perspective. In the world we are living today where the media is perceived to be biased, it is important for people to have an unbiased firm to do the research. When she did the first show it did not have the presence of the researchers she did not have to look like some talking head in the show.

Let’s get the right things in perspective

This is the only way to keep politicians in check. From the outlook of the show you and tell that the entire team means business. The team adequately researches its work and it makes sure they have given the right information.

For example yesterday they were talking about the cost of electricity in the country. This is after the government had made statements that they had reduced the pries of electricity by half. They were able to dissect the numbers from 2012 to now. They were able to establish the facts that have been provided in the market and made sure they have done their job.

Making sure they are not impartial in their job

They have finally been able to make sure they look impartial. This is because they did not put focus on the individual making the statement and rather the issue at hand. This makes the media house look like they are impartial.

A look at the issues more and not the individual is better (and it saves on the legal problems). It is important for them to make sure they have looked at the organization and to make sure they have gotten the job done in the right way.

Beside the PR and communication strategies what is the underlying fact

It is time that the look is out to make sure that they have done their job. Both camps will have very tough to make sure they have gotten their message out there. This program is the best bet for anyone who wants to know the truth about the statements made in campaign rallies.
